May 5th, 2004 U.S. Patent and Trademark Office grants expanded protection for LEVX® technologies. Magna Force, Inc. has received notice of allowance for a new LEVX® patent in the United States. The new patent expands protection of the Non-Contact Linear Drive System and covers improvements to cornering mechanisms. In addition to the U.S. patents, Magna Force has also registered LEVX® as a trademark in 12 countries. December 4th, 2003 Team NAE has chosen LEVX braking technology for the North American Eagle™ Inventor Jerry Lamb and design specialist Troy Sparks are working closely with Team NAE to provide the magnetic braking system that will help to safely bring the Eagle to a stop from speeds exceeding 800 mph. The non-contact permanent magnet braking system is inherently anti-locking for safe speed reduction of the rear aluminum wheels. In addition to brake technology, Magna Force, Inc. recently donated a 1995 Volvo Tractor to the project. October 20th, 2003: Magna Force, Inc. acquiring additional land for demonstration track and visitors center. Magna Force, Inc. is acquiring approximately 4.5 acres adjacent to the current Port Angeles facility. The additional land will be utilized for an expanded LEVX® demonstration track, construction of a visitors center and expansion of corporate offices. Site preparations are underway as project plans move forward. October 1st, 2003: Non-Contact Linear Drive Testing Continues at Magna Force, Inc. Magna Force continues testing of the LEVX® Non Contact Linear Drive for use in LEVX® transportation systems. Tests results revealed that less than 40 hp and a single non-contact linear drive can produce 540 pounds of thrust, enough to accelerate over 250,000 pounds of payload over a flat grade. The test bed setup also included a triple reaction rail for steep grade simulations. home | technology | custom solutions | media | gallery | about mfi | contact Copyright© Magna Force, Inc. - 1993 - 2003
